Plumb Center Unveil Green Deal e-Survey Tool

25th October, 2012

Plumb Center will be showcasing their Green Deal training and accreditation package at Retro Expo next week. Plumb Center will also be running interactive demonstrations of their unique Green Deal e-survey package – an e-survey tool for Green Deal Advisors and Assessors. Visitors to their stand will be given the opportunity of trialling the tool for themselves and to find out how, through the correct training, they can benefit fully from the business opportunities that the Green Deal will deliver.

"Retro Expo is the first large-scale event entirely dedicated to low carbon retrofit, and is an event for anybody who is serious about The Green Deal," said Simon Allan, Renewables Director at Wolseley UK.

Only accredited installers who satisfy the PAS 2030 standard can install approved energy efficiency improvements and employ the Green Deal Quality Mark. Plumb Center, therefore, have formed a partnership with Sevenoaks Energy Academy to offer a range of discounted Green Deal Assessor/Advisor courses to their account customers. The Green Deal installer and advisor training, which can be payable by eXtra points, combines knowledge and practical experience and results in nationally recognised qualifications. Further details on these training courses will be provided at the show.

“We are absolutely delighted that Plumb Center, the UK’s largest distributor of heating and plumbing supplies, signed up to Retro Expo this week. The Green Deal presents a massive opportunity for heating installers who are best placed to deliver the majority of the measures. Through training and accreditation installers can get a competitive edge and they can find out exactly how to go about it at Plumb Center’s stand,” said David Pierpoint, Business Development Director of Retro Expo.

The e-survey tool for Green Deal Advisors and Assessors is an innovative way of introducing the Green Deal to customers. It has been pre-programmed to enable users to carry out assessments, calculate the Golden Rule, complete and submit the EPC, identify measures and assemble a Green Deal plan.
