Easy MCS & Easy Green Deal Training Academy Opens

28th August, 2012

The Easy MCS & Easy Green Deal training academy has been officially opened to an audience of industry leaders ranging from government level through to certification bodies and prospective installers and advisors. Based in North Wales, Easy MCS Ltd have been supporting installers since 2009 in achieving MCS Accreditation and entering the renewable sector. Easy MCS have won a number of awards for the unparalleled support they offer and have recommendations from across the industry including the Morgan Foundation Award for Best New Business in 2011.

In mid-2011 Easy MCS branched into renewable training to assist their customers in sourcing high quality, certified training that would be applicable in their journey through MCS Certification. The Easy MCS Academy, based in Flintshire, boasts state of the art training facilities that offer candidates the opportunity of a real life training experience to ensure they are fully prepared to enter the renewable sector. The academy offers training across a range of technologies including Solar PV, Solar Thermal and Ground & Air Source Heat Pumps. Installers from across the UK travel to train in these unrivalled facilities.

With the launch of the Government’s new energy efficiency drive, the Green Deal, due in October, Easy MCS launched sister company Easy Green Deal to offer similar support services to installers and assessors looking to enter this sector. The Easy Green Deal academy offers training courses for assessors looking to become Domestic Energy Assessors and Green Deal Advisors. Green Deal advisors will be the cornerstone of the Green Deal, performing the property assessments required to ensure the right energy efficiency measures are installed. Alongside this the academy will be offering
green deal installation courses to prospective installers as well as the industry recognised and multi award winning support service to ensure installers achieve Green Deal certification.

The launch of the Easy MCS & Easy Green Deal Academy took place in the glorious sunshine on the side of the River Dee. Steve Morgan OBE, founder of the Morgan Foundation, CEO of Redrow Homes and owner of Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. performed the official opening.

Following the official launch, company director of Easy MCS & Easy Green Deal, Thomas Farquhar said “The launch today is a culmination of the hard work of the entire team and all our industry partners. The support that has been shown by the people who have attended today has been unprecedented and we couldn’t have done it without everyone involved. The Green Deal is an exciting new venture for our company and we hope the investment we have made in these high quality facilities will offer a unique and unrivalled experience to our customers.”

Gareth Evans, an installer who has gone through the training academy for the full range of courses along with the support and mentoring services, commented “The facilities here at the Easy MCS &
Easy Green Deal academy are second to none. The trainers are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly which makes the learning process far more enjoyable. We have also been through the support for both MCS & the Green Deal as we think these are the big growth markets at the moment, the mentoring and support we have had has been fantastic. We are really pleased to be able to come and support the team today and the amount of high profile support is a testament to the standing of the company within the industry. I have spoken to members of the Welsh Assembly, DECC and some of the biggest certification bodies, all whilst being shown top quality training facilities. A big thank you to the whole team.”
