Manufacturers will be able to apply for a share of 4.5m retrofit fund to produce retrofit measures at competitive prices, in a plan to scale up solutions in the domestic retrofit sector. To achieve this requires a significant re-working of the survey and specification process, with an innovative approach to supply chain relations, customer focused business models and low cost, trusted energy monitoring to ensure retrofitted homes perform as expected. Projects may also cover aftercare arrangements and development of long-term relationships, extending to providers taking responsibility for household bills.

Projects to may range from 500,000 to 3million and with approximately 20 million UK homes needing energy efficiency refurbishment, the market is expected to be worth 200 billion over the next 40 years.
